Frequently asked questions

What does HudsonPanel require?

A clean Ubuntu 24.04 LTS 64-bit server, root access, a static public IPv4 address, and a dedicated hostname whose DNS points to that server. Do not install it over another control panel.

How do I add a domain and SSL?

Create the hosting account or website, point public DNS to the server, and wait for it to resolve. Run SSL Readiness, then use Add SSL when the domain resolves here and is configured here.

Can HudsonPanel transfer an existing website?

Yes. Website Transfer supports guided migrations from HudsonPanel, cPanel, and DirectAdmin to HudsonPanel. HudsonPanel verifies files, databases, document roots, runtimes, and rewrite behavior on the destination before you change live DNS. You can also preview the transferred website using a temporary URL before finalizing the migration.

Where do I get help with HudsonPanel?

Start with the HudsonPanel Support Center for setup guides, troubleshooting, and answers to common questions. If you’re dealing with a website error, gather the exact error message and check your website logs and Service Status first. If you still need help, you can contact HudsonPanel support directly from the Support Center.

Which update channel should I choose?

Release is the established production option, Current provides a newer broadly validated build, and Edge receives completed work first for early validation.
