WHMCS module reference

Technical details, security behavior, update handling, known limits, and version history for the HudsonPanel WHMCS module.

The HudsonPanel WHMCS server module connects WHMCS products and services to the restricted Host billing platforms API. Use the hosting panel plugins page for the current download and short installation procedure.

Authentication and scope

Create a Host billing platforms API credential in HudsonPanel and restrict its allowed network to the public IP of the WHMCS server. Store the key in the WHMCS server Password field and enable Secure. The module requires HTTPS and does not include the API key in module log data.

Provisioning behavior

The module implements account creation, suspension, activation, termination, plan changes, and password changes. It also supports WHMCS Server Sync, standard disk and bandwidth usage updates, and usage metrics for email accounts, addon domains, aliases, subdomains, and databases.

AccountPanel autologin uses a random, single-use login token. HudsonPanel expires the token after two minutes and consumes it on first use.

Product configuration

  1. Select HudsonPanel as the WHMCS product module.
  2. Set HudsonPanel Plan ID to the numeric ID shown in AdminPanel → Plans.
  3. Leave one-click updates disabled until PHP ZipArchive is available and the WHMCS module directory is writable by the WHMCS PHP user.
  4. Run Test Connection, then manually create and terminate a test service before enabling automatic setup.

Module updates

When one-click updates are enabled for the product, the module adds an administrator action named Update HudsonPanel Module. The action downloads the release manifest over HTTPS from hudsonpanel.com, accepts only a hudsonpanel.com HTTPS archive URL, verifies the archive SHA-256 checksum, rejects unsafe archive paths, and replaces only files inside the HudsonPanel server-module directory.

Known limits

Primary-domain changes, system-username changes, and server migrations are not exposed as WHMCS module commands in version 1.0.0. Those operations are intentionally omitted until HudsonPanel provides a complete rollback-safe automation path.
